Our spacious Deluxe Rooms feature traditional elegant decor with large sitting areas. Excellent for families, these rooms can accommodate up to five people with additional space for a rollaway or crib. The sitting area is furnished with either a sofa, sofabed or two armchairs. Each of our spacious One Bedroom Suites features two rooms - a bedroom and parlor with dividing door. Most One Bedroom Suites feature one bathroom, while few are equipped with an additional powder room.

Signature Two Bedroom Harbour View Suite

Each of our Signature Two Bedroom Harbour View Suites feature three rooms in total - two bedrooms and one parlor. Each bedroom is equipped with a private bathroom and full amenities.

For over 90 years, the majestic lobby of this landmark hotel has played host to England's most beloved ritual - the taking of Afternoon Tea. Award-winning Pastry Chef D'oyen Christie works his magic, ensuring an authentic and memorable experience from your very first sip of Empress-blend tea right through to the freshly baked scones, served warm with chantilly cream and strawberry preserves. Presented table-side in the relaxing atmosphere of the lovingly restored Tea Lobby, Afternoon Tea is a 'must do' for all who visit Victoria.

Guests staying at The Fairmont Empress who are members of Fairmont President's Club may borrow BMW Cruiser Bicycles upon availability to pedal around Victoria's many bike paths and routes.

Fitness Center

Access to the Fitness Centre is complimentary to registered hotel guests. Children 15 and under are not permitted in the Fitness Center. Adult supervision is required in the Fitness Center for guests between the ages of 16 and 18 and in the pool area for children of all ages. The Fitness Centre is not staffed.

Tea at the Empress

The iconic Empress Hotel opened its doors in January 1908. Today, Fairmont Empress proudly serves freshly prepared scones and tea pastries to more than 80,000 guests annually. During the summer months, the Empress serves more afternoon tea than most hotels in London. More than 400 people each day visit the Empress to indulge in a tradition that has been an important part of Victoria for more than 110 years. On your tea tiers, you'll find a menu resplendent with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The strawberry jam for our freshly baked scones is made in-house from local berries, honey from our own bee hives and lavender from our rooftop garden. The teas are ethically sourced from the top tea producers in the world. Tea at the Empress is truly an elevated culinary experience.
